As you’re heating up the barbecue this weekend, take some time to reflect on what it all means.
For some, this weekend feels like the kick-off to the summer season, a much-welcomed three-day mini-vacation spent with family and friends outside (if you’re lucky enough to have nice weather) enjoying each others company. And it is. That’s one of the freedoms our Armed Forces fight to protect. I will avoid getting all preachy on you, but I think it is important EVERYDAY to remind myself how grateful I am for my life, especially on the days when it might not be so easy to have that positive perspective. This weekend, in between the hotdogs and pool parties, put your politics aside and remember the men and women who fought and died protecting the rights many of us take for granted the other 362 days of the year.
